The stuff of this world can distract you but not fulfill you. The promises and prizes here on earth can give you glimpses of happiness but not the thing itself. Everything in this life is like a vapor, here for a moment and then gone.
But contentment is the symptom of discovering what really matters in life. You gain it, not when you are striving towards it but when you are striving towards a true identity and a true purpose. It is a commodity that cannot be bought, traded, or won. It can only be received if only you know from whom it comes.
